What is a filling?

What can I expect when I get a filling?

When you come in to to see Dr. Viet Tran for a dental filling, you will be given local anesthesia to help prevent you from feeling any discomfort. He will then begin to remove the bacteria and decay. The next step is etching. Etching is a material that is painted onto the tooth that helps open up the small pores on the tooth to help support or bond the filling to the tooth. Next, our natural white boned fillings will be applied to the tooth. And finally, the tooth will then be polished back to its natural state.
